Examination advised: Bulging eyes (exopthalmos) can be seen with an overactive thyroid which,if persistent, can cause heart rhythm problems(thyrotoxic heart disease). I recommend an examination by your physician who will order the appropriate tests if needed.

Bulging out of eyes: A new bulging out of eyes without pain: most likely thyroid eye dz; if painful or with redness of skin/eye & short of bread & ankles swollen: possible infection (ie, strep, Lyme, etc) or inflammation (pseudotumor) or other (multiple factors). See your eyeMD and PCP for full exam.
