Thrush, White Piedra: White Piedra is usually a superficial fungal infection of hair shafts that is treated by shaving the area and applying topical antifungal shampoo, or sometimes use of oral antifungal. Oral thrush is caused by Candida, can be seen in immune suppressed persons or those who have been on antibiotics, and can be treated with a topical solution or an oral antifungal. Suggest discuss with your doctor.
