Do anything!: With a hernia you can do anything that doesn't hurt. That being said, why live with a hernia? Get it fixed!

Inguinal hernia: You should avoid anything that causes an increase in your abdominal pressure. That includes lifting something heavy, coughing, sneezing, screaming, doing sit-ups, etc. Obviously some of these are unavoidable. If you have the hernia repaired, you shouldn't have to worry about avoiding any of these again.
