Something else : Sounds like u have edema in u'r feet. Not uncommon at all, especially if u are on u'r feet a lot. The main reason is gravity pulls things down, and as we get older out veins and Lymph vessels transmit the fluid/blood slower. I suggest trying compression socks, and seeing u'r doctor so he/she can do a physical exam.

Deems closer look.: There are multiple potential reasons for swollen feet/tightness. Some are unrelated to osteoarthritis (OA). Some are related to medication taken for OA. OA itself can certainly have episodic joint swelling as well. You likely need a closer look and a good physical exam to determine the next best course of action. Good luck
