Pepto Bismol may be used for diarrhea. If someone needs to take it, they should carefully read the instructions on the bottle, and if they need anywhere close to 16 tablets in one day, they should loop their doctor in. Reasons to contact a doctor: diarrhea for more than two days, eight stools a day, has a fever or blood in the stool, or thinks for any other reason that they should see a doctor.
