Not one most likely: There are multiple risk factors associated with vaginal prolapse, however, each patient's individual risk factors are different. Here are the most common (in no particular order): number of pregnancies/ vaginal births, size of births, instrumentation during births, smoking, obesity, family history, chronic coughing/sneezing (or any condition leading to this), diabetes, tissue disorders.
