A member asked:

What to do if i have osteoarthritus in my big toe (hallux rigidus) ive had a chilectomy to help take some weight off my bad toe/foot?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Did the cheilectomy : Work at all? If it did for a number of years you could consider another. If it did not work then your options include: 1) an osteotomy 2) a Keller bunionectomy 3) a fusion 4) an implant A foot surgeon should be able to detail the pros and cons of each procedure.
