Depends on why: Most patients with astigmatism can be fit with contact lenses, either soft toric ones or gas permeable ones. If you cannot wear contacts, you need to understand why you cannot. Some reasons can be corrected to permit contact lens wear. You might consider a second opinion by a contact lens specialist.
