Depends on...: ...your symptoms. "Extra bones" are usually accessory ossicles or secondary ossification centers which have incompletely fused with the rest of a bone. There are some common extra bones around the knee. If you are not having any pain or other symptoms, it is best to leave them alone. If you develop symptoms at your knee, then you should see your Doctor for an evaluation.
