Maybe extract it: If the other teeth are looking okay in the front, you just have 10 lbs of teeth in a 5 lb arch. So, get that lateral extracted.

Go straight: If your unhappy with your smile, or if your Dentist is unhappy with either your occlusion or the health of the supporting tissues around your teeth, a visit to a qualified Orthodontic Specialist may be in order. If your teeth are crooked, an Orthodontist will help you go straight.

See your dentist: Periapical x-ray and examination by your dentist will determine the root location and what kind of the treatment is needed. The good news is there is always a solution to your situation. Take care.
