I'm 46 and in a wheelchair due to idiopathic neuropathy but otherwise healthy. i'm able to stand 2-3 times a day. i've noticed my feet have been swelling during the day. should i be concerned?

If it hurts. : Usually walking pumps vein circulation through muscle contraction. No walking no pumping so gravity causing some swelling. If it is painful, doctor could help with diuretics. Otherwise you'll be fine. Special compression stocking also option.

Yes, and yes: You MUST take care of your feet and legs whenever you suffer from neuropathy. This can place you at high risk for wounds and ulcers that do not heal well. I'd speak with your doctors about the swelling.

Yes and no: Swelling of your legs might just be "dependent edema", which is due to your legs hanging down while you're sitting on wheelchair all day and resolves with wearing tight stockings. But Swelling of the legs can also be due to clot in the legs due to immobility or problem with heart, liver, or kidneys. Make sure your PCP checks you for all that.
