See a doctor: Rectal bleeding is not normal and needs evaluation. The situation you describe may be a sign of ischemic colitis, a condition in which there is reduced blood flow to the colon . The stress of a long distance run may shunt blood away from the bowel. A gastroenterologist can help sort this out.
