Depends: Sexual side effects from fluoxetine can persist as long as you take the medication. For some people, the sexual side effects may go away after some time. If the side effects persist after 4 weeks or so, it is likely to stay. Talk to your doctor about ways to address the sexual side effects (lower the dose, switch, or add bupropion or other adjunct).
