Yes: Fibroids are benign tumors of the uterus made up of smooth muscle and fibrous tissue. They are hard and firm to the touch. When they are located in the front of the uterus they can be felt by the patient or the physician on physical exam. They can enlarge a woman's uterus like a pregnancy and its size is often compared in those terms.

FIBROIDS: Fibroids sre solid muscular growths on the uterus. If they are large, they can be felt through the abdominal wall as a firm mass/masses by the patient ( especially if she is slim). They can also be felt by your MD on a pelvic examination However, the best way to document them is by pelvic ultrasound
