Will the mirena (levonorgestrel) help with heavy period after starting on xeralto?

Ask hematologist: Xeralto (rivoroxaban) is used to prevent clotting. It is an alternative to Warfarin for people who tend to form blood clots. Reason for Xeralto and dose are important. Mirena (levonorgestrel) is an intrauterine device that releases small amounts of Progesterone (female hormone) that prevents uterine bleeding. It is used to prevent bleeding from Warfarin and may help you. Ask a hematologist for help.

Hard to tell : Mirena (levonorgestrel) can alter the inside lining if the uterus, which may cause less bleeding, bit it also causes the cervix to enlarge to try and prevent sperm from getting into uterus. When cervix gets enlarged it has more blood vessels. This is a difficult Q&A. Monitor closely with amount of tampons u use in a day. If heavier, contact Gyn.

Should decrease: The Mirena, (levonorgestrel) a Levonorgestrel IUD, has the benefit of decreasing the amount of bleeding and cramping women have. It's particularly helpful for women on blood thinners like yourself. It's also a great choice for Contraception if you are at risk of blood clots because it has no estrogen. Good choice, your provider advised you well! It may take two or three months after insertion before your bleeding and cramping actually get less, be patient
