What are the surgical options to fix unequal arm bone length. the cause is damaged growth plates from childhood fracture. 8mm difference in the bones.

Non operative: 8 mm discrepancy is not much unless it causes an angular deformity at the wrist. The options include a procedure to stop the growth of the longer bone or to lengthen the shorter one. Once Growth is complete, the only option would be the lengthening procedure.

Unequal arm length: Surgical intervention may not be necessary. With only a 8 mm descrepency all arm function can still be carried out satisfactorily
