A member asked:

Can having trigger points in your neck cause burning stinging and numbing pain? please help if you can? what type of exam is done?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Definitely!: Trigger points can cause all those symptoms - usually not in the arms though. Trigger points cause pain to radiate along the muscle groups. If you have pain and numbness in your hands / arms then it is possible to have a pinched nerve. I would see a chiropractor or pain specialist for the exam and to get the actual diagnosis
