Depends: Back pain after spinal surgery is common. 2 months out pain is likely the timeframe when the muscles become sore from use, as patients activity levels start to return to presurgical levels. I'd get evaluated by your surgeon-make sure things are ok- then get back to your activities. Best of luck!

See details: Two months is too short a time to recovery from this type of surgery, It is likely to be normal post-op discomfort. Check with the doctor who performed the surgery.

Back pain: It is expected for you to experience lower back pain or discomfort after a lumbar spinal fusion surgery. If the intensity and frequency of lower back pain remain the same as before surgery or are progressively getting worse since after surgery, then further clinical follow-up evaluation is necessary. You need to elaborate about your spinal fusion surgery - pedicle screw or intervertebral fusion.
