NEVER safe...: It is NEVER safe to expose your upper airway to carcinogens, especially when the tissue is healing.

Not advised: Smoking is never encouraged at any time, least of all after surgery. The tonsillar area needs to heal and the exposure to smoke only slows the process and can affect the cells. Try using nicotine patch for the nicotine crave. Good health.
