Molluscum : Molluscum contagiousum is a virus, and similar to a wart. It resolves on it's own, without treatment, between 6m and 2yrs. Treatment can leave scars, and is generally not recommended. However, when there are many of them on the face, it can be distressing. In this case, see a dermatologist. Also, it is contagious. Be careful with bathing, as well as clothing ,towels and bedding.

Depends on location.: The only home treatments are topical irritants applied directly to the lesions ( salicylic acid and podophyllin). They have varying efficacy and should not be applied indiscriminately. Also need to make sure you have the right diagnosis. Depending upon location and severity may not need any treatment except to prevent spread to others.
