No: If no drug/alcohol history, then short term use of a benzodiazepine (like Ativan) should not cause any dependence problems. Be open and honest with your provider if these issues are present.

In certain respects: U'r body and mind gets used to the changes that occur, and when u come off of it u may experience withdrawal symptoms. Seizures are the extreme. Overall though the symptoms are milder, but not the most comfortable

For what reason?: Benzodiazepines do have a potential for dependence. The short term usage may not be of huge significance however.
