Don't mix: Alcohol and sedatives don't mix too much and fatal.

Two CNS depressants: Combining benzodiazepams and alcohol or opiods can be fatal due additive effects of thier CNS suppression effects. Remain safe stay away of mixing alcohol and ativan (lorazepam).

Bad mixture: Alcohol and benzodiazepines like Ativan (lorazepam) potentate the effects of each other. Both are CNS depressants and 2 mg of Ativan (lorazepam) as a single dose is substantial. You should completely avoid alcohol if you plan to continue taking ativan (lorazepam).
