A member asked:

Is it possible to have a blood clot below the knee with any swelling?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Swelling in the legs can come from many things, but swelling in a single leg is particularly worrisome for clot or DVT (Deep Venous Thrombosis). It can occur after still for long periods(travel), following an injury, surgery or infection, during pregnancy or can occur spontaneously. Some people have a genetic cause for blood clotting. An ultrasound can be performed by your doctor to diagnose.
