Cycle day 16: If you have a 30 day cycle, you ovulated on cycle day 16, with cycle day 1 being the first day if your period. When things work right, your period always comes 14 days after ovulation, unless you are pregnant. It's the first half of the cycle, before ovulation, that can vary.
