Not related per se: Having more than one spleen is not uncommon. Ectopic splenic tissue can be found in the body as two distinct forms: accessory spleens and splenosis. Accessory spleens are congenital, whereas splenosis is an acquired condition defined as autotransplantation of viable splenic tissue as a result of rupture of the spleen. In either case, this is usually not symptomatic.
