At least you care: Hi. I congratulate you for caring about your diet. The average American diet sucks. My simple "avoid" list: fast food, processed food, saturated fat, high fat, white flour, white rice, sugar. The "do eat" list: whole grains, legumes, nuts, fruits & veggies, lean meats, healthy oils (canola & olive), nonfat dairy. And of course exercise regularly and don't smoke. To your good health!
