Not likely: Is there a calcium deficiency? Tums (Calcium Carbonate) can help reduce symptoms from indigestion & heart burn & is a source of calcium.

Tums (calcium carbonate): The active ingredient in TUMS is calcium carbonate which is not a pain reliever. That being said, if your body aches are the result of osteoporosis, if your osteoporosis improves, your pain sometimes can subside. The good news is, Tums are often used to treat osteoporosis. However, any noticeable improvement would likely take months.
