A member asked:

What to do if i had an emg done & i was questioning what some of the results meant, so what is prolonged latency?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Talk to your doctor: Prolonged latency means one of your responses was delayed. In isolation this abnormality doesn't tell a whole lot. If you still have questions about the results you need to talk to your doctor for additional clarification, as only that type of dialogue would be specific to you and your test
