Warm compresses help: You need to see your eye doctor immediately, if you have a foreign object UNDER your lid, so they can evert your lid, and retrieve the foreign object. If it's a stye or looks like a ball at the edge of your lid, then it's non-emergent and can wait until you get to the eye dr. A warm compress for 10-15 minutes 4 times a day can help decompress it. Not hot, just warm! Be kind to your eye!
