Usually no: They can prescribe antibiotics and/or analgesics to hold you over for a very short time until you can get to a dentist. Dental care, however, will not be performed in the emergency room. Your best bet is to call a dentist ASAP.

Of course: Many emergency rooms have a dentists or oral surgeon on call 24/7 for dental emergencies. Call 911 if you cannot go to a hospital on your own or it is a life threatening emergency.
