Weight gain: Consumption of large amount of sweets will lead to weight gain and obesity. Obesity in children can lead to teasing by their peers. Self esteem issues and anxiety are common. If the excessive weight gain continues diabetes and other more severe health problems can occur in the teens or adulthood.
