Depends on a...: It depends on a number of factors. First, what you have is called ischemic cardiomyopathy. In this disease, patients lose functioning heart muscle cells because of the loss of blood flow. If your coronary arteries were stented or bypassed, some of your heart muscle may have regained flow. If not, you should see a cardiologist to determine how much muscle may recover if a procedure is done.

Several things: 1. You have to see if it ischemic cardio-myopathy or non-ischemic. 2. There are several medications which help: A. ACE inhibitors like (Enalapril, Lisinopril etc) B. B blocker like Carvedilol, Metoproplol etc. These medications reduce BP and you should consult your doctor before using it. C. Diuretics like Lasix (furosemide) and Spironolcatone D. FInally cardiologist can place AICD / Device for arrythmia.

Good Rx = good life: Per the other physicians, you should follow up with your cardiologist to address symptoms and any needed procedures. An exercise program could also be of benefit to the possible procedure and medications. With good managment, you can do well for a long time. No one can really give you an exact time frame.
