You can't always: I don't recommend testing by having him handle or eat some. Family history of food allergy increases the risk, but doesn't mean definitely thebaby will be allergic. There are blood tests, and definitely for those under about 2 years old, skin tests done by a reputable allergist that can help identify food allergy. Reactions to accidental contact might help. Electrodermal, etc testing won't help.
