Severe allergic : Reactions can happen to some unfortunate folks just being in the vicinity of peanuts and inhaling the dust from peanuts. Also there is the risk of cross contamination in food preparation. I know sometimes it seems extreme and paranoid but for some people it really is life and death for them.
