What to do if i had a pre employment drug screen would they have told me i failed because they did the test in office?

No: or at least they SHOULD NOT. Some employers use instant tests which give results in minutes, but those results should ALWAYS be confirmed by more sophisticated testing. This requires that the positive test strip be sent back to the company, which generally takes 1-2 days to get the confirmation results back.
