Care is necessary: Adderall clears quickly and symptoms will likely rebound and require management. Zyprexa (olanzapine) clears slowly and requires slow taper to prevent withdrawal symptoms and need to observe for target symptom return. Follow the guidance of the prescriber for best experience and report any adverse effects or return of symptoms to the prescriber. Best regards.

Medication weaning : Discontinuing meds needs careful supervision by the prescribing provider, because meds used to treat the brain DO have "withdrawal" effects because of neurotransmitter level changes in brain tissue and cells. The symptoms vary w/ med and person. Weaning or tapering is done to allow the brain to adjust with cautious medical care.
