To truly answer,: I need more information about both the mother and the child. But this sounds like you are concerned, so why not talk it over with your family doctor or a psychiatrist who can help you figure this out?

Parent anxiety: Well, the parent's anxiety will likely be communicated to the child, who may then become anxious himself/herself. This parent should look into some mental health support before that happens.
