A member asked:

I have a pea-sized hard lump behind my ear, it's painless and immobile, decreases and increases in size, it's been there for at least 3 months.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Likely harmless: If the lump becomes painful, grows larger than 2cm in diameter or is affecting your hearing then you should seek medical attention. Otherwise, it is likely a lymph node. Lymph nodes commonly fluctuate in size and behind the ear is a very common location
