Many lifestyle chang: cannot say in your particular situation but people change their lifestyle when there is a life changing event and changes in food, activity, sun exposure, medications can all cause itching by a variety of reasons. Stress: Stress is the the main causes of rashes and allergic reactions. U may not even have a rash, but the stress causes your underlying immune cells and other cells to release allergic mediators which cause the itching. Most people won't be able to identify any triggers-but foods, temparature variations, detergents, etc.. Should be looked at too.
