I am 31years. i got 140/100.doc gave propranolol 20mg/ day without any test & reduce to 10mg after few days. now it is 110-120/80.can i stop medic?

Hypertension: Your BP is controlled because of the medication so do not stop it or it will go back up again. But if you quit smoking it may normalize your BP! Also if you are overweight or do not have a routine exercise program, losing weight and working out reduce your BP as well! Since you are young if you do not have family history of HTN, the secondary causes of hypertension need to be ruled out !

Should not: I suggest flowing up with the doctor. Also suggest checking your blood pressure few times a week and weighting numbers down to take for the doctor.
