A member asked:

After a uterine inversion is it safer to deliver vaginally or by c-section? especially if you went into shock and had emergency surgery?

Vag should be safe: Thus occurs following delivery and usually is reverted back quickly by your OB before the placenta is detached. Shock may follow and not from blood loss. There's a trick to reverting the uterus & unfortunately, if too much time has elapsed, a trip to the OR is for gen anesthesia to relax the muscle tone & allow reversion. Vag delivery should be safe, your Doc should know how to prevent recurrence.

Main thing is: to make sure the placenta does not grow into the lining of the uterus and slow gentle removal of placenta please discuss with your OB
