If a ill defined lesion on liver is seen on cat scan an have stage 3 lung cancer 3 yrs. out with surgery is it cancer ?

Hard to say: The answer really depends on how the CT was performed. In view of the history you provided, it is a possibility. If CT was performed without contrast, then one should be done with. MRI is also a good way to image the liver. In this situation, sit down with your doctors to clarify what is happening. Best wishes
