A member asked:

How long can it take for yellowish brown saliva to go away after tooth extraction? only noticed in the morning, and clear through day. no pain/swell.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Few days: It will take 2 or 3 days for the drainage to subside after a tooth extraction. The yellow-brown color is caused by hemoglobin in the blood, and emanates from the blood clot formed in the tooth socket.
