Usually normal: Generally we would call that "breakthrough bleeding", and it can be very common. Cycles are dependent upon hormone regulation, which can change with stress, activity, weight, meds, and lots of other factors. If it continues or has other associated symptoms you could follow-up with a doctor for further testing.
