NOT LIKELY AT ALL: At 16 weeks gestation urine pregnancy test as well as blood will be positive.And blood test for beta subunit can be done qualitative as well quantitative test to confirm your gestational age.

16 weeks what?: If you are 16 weeks pregnant you would not need an HCG test as it would be positive. If you are 16 weeks and the HCG is negative, they are sensitive and specific so it would be important for you to get evaluated for causes other than pregnancy for a missed cycle(s).
