Pregnancy and sleep: On back not best as it can compress the vena cava(large vein) and cause problems with blood flow for baby. Side is best. Try cusion or pillow behind so you lay at a 45 degree angle instead of completely on your side (left side is best). May help. Good Luck.

Position: In the first two trimesters, the position is entirely up to you. In the last trimester, sleeping on your back with a slight bump under your right hip would be the best position. You want your right hip elevated a couple inched relative to the left hip. This prevents the weight of the baby from compromising blood flow to the uterus.
