Weight based meds: Both tylenol (acetaminophen) (acetomenophen) and advil (ibuprofen) have age and weight based dosing for children with fever. Luke warm bath splashing can also help--do not use ice water or alcohol baths! of course, finding the reason for the fever is most important, so if the child is ill, they should be evaluated by the doctor. Do not give Aspirin to children under 18, to avoid reye's syndrome, a bad liver dzz.
