I suffer from bladder pain and also pain in my right upper thigh. when i need to urinate, pain radiates down my right leg. why might this be?

Cystitis or stone: If you have dysuria ( pain w/ urination), multiple bathroom trips or urge to go you have a bladder infection or cystitis. Taking Metformin suggests possibility of diabetes which makes one prone to infection. Urinalysis and culture should be done. On the other hand an ultrasound to look for kidney stone is helpful, specially because of the pain radiating to the thigh and history of meds.
