Don't know, but...: I don't know if quitting smoking will be good for your gums, but it will certainly lower your risk of heart attack, stroke, emphysema, bronchitis, and cancer. But it's really hard to stay quit off. So get as much help as you can for it from your doc and do it in a planned manner.
