Sciatica: It is possible that your symptoms are from nerve root compression or compression of the sciatic nerve.

Take Breaks: from sitting frequently. Unfortunately sitting for long periods of time will aggravate your back and cause disc to bulge and result in sciatica. Otherwise try not to sit for longer than 1-2 hrs at a time without taking a break. Suggest seeing a pain/spine specialist for full evaluation and to see what options for treatment are good for you.

Cold burning: I think most of us can agree your calf sensation is related to nerve irritation. In this case, it was probably not severe. Since it occurred after sitting, it may be from the sciatic nerve, the popliteal nerve, or a lumbar nerve root. It is hard to know. Regardless, it should not last long, and may recover. Many people get this after sitting on something with an edge, like stadium seats.
